  • Film Production
  • Literature
  • Music Composition
  • Photography
  • Visual Arts

View the general rules for the program here.

Submit Your Entry

All digital works and/or performances can be submitted on a jump drive.

We will need volunteers to help ensure that collection goes as quickly and smoothly as possible for all. If you are available to lend a hand, please let our Reflections Chair know by sending her a message via the website contact form (select 'Reflections' from the pull-down). Thank you!

Entries are due in the West Creek Academy Multi-Purpose Room or front of the school on Tuesday, October 17th between 7:45am and 8:30am. Your submission must include a completed and signed Student Entry Form, available here: Reflections 23-24 Student Packet.

In your artist statement, tell us about your work and what it means to you.

  • How does your work relate to the theme?
  • What is your personal connection to the theme?
  • What did you use to create your work (e.g. supplies, technology, instrumentation, props, etc.)?
  • What/Who was your inspiration?
Judging Criteria

Volunteer arts and education experts review submissions without knowledge of the entrants’ identity. Judges look for personal interpretations on the program theme that best exemplify creativity and technical skill.

  • Interpretation: How closely the piece relates to the theme, based on the artwork itself and the artist statement.
  • Creativity: How creative and original the piece is in its conception of the theme and its presentation.
  • Technique: The level of skill demonstrated in the basic principles/techniques of the arts area.

Students will be running and exercising their way around the school’s track while volunteers and teachers line the track to CHEER them on!

Get your child's Fun Run donation website set up TODAY!

Step 1: Set up your child’s donation website on PledgeStar as follows:

  • Go to http://pledgestar.com/westcreek
  • Enter your name and email address, then click Register
  • Follow the instructions on-screen
**Funds received online will automatically be split among siblings.**

Step 2: When you finish, the system will email pledge requests to your family and friends, and allows them to make secure credit card donations online. You get notified each time a pledge is made, and you can track your pledge progress online. Call 1-888-598-7510 if you need help. Remember only you and those you share the URL with can see this site.

Step 3: Have fun, watch your donations roll in and support your child’s education. If you collect checks or cash, please fill out this form when you turn them in by TBD. Thank you!

Donation page FYI: The amounts for our individual, family, and school incentives are fixed, so why does your donation page goal keep changing each time a donation is made? The PledgeStar system automatically ups your goal to give visitors to your page more incentive to donate. Donation page goals do not factor in to our incentives program.

NOTE: The last day to submit donations and pledges is TBD.

  • Learn more about Fall and Spring Fundraisers
Each year, the West Creek Academy PTA holds two major fundraisers -- one in the fall and one in the spring. We have held Fun Runs, Direct Donation campaigns, jog-a-thons, spell-a-thons, and put on a gala and auction evening. Each of these events has helped raise funds needed to support our music program, field trips, library needs, maintenance needs, emergency supply needs, assemblies, and more! We thank everyone for the continuing support!

PERFORMANCE GUIDELINES

1) Appropriate Content --- All music, lyrics, dance moves and costumes must be appropriate for TK-6 audience. If you have any questions about the content of the performance, please ask for approval before you start to practice. We don't want anyone to be disqualified. Please bring the lyric sheet to the audition.

2) Duplicate Songs --- Performers will not be able to duplicate songs that are being performed by others. The Producer reserves the right to request that a performer choose another appropriate song and re-audition. The first performer to return this Interest Form with their song selection will be allowed to perform that song in the show.

3) Vocal Track --- Vocalists are allowed to use tracks that have background vocal only. The principal vocal track must be removed to hear the performer.

4) Time Limit --- We want to give everyone the opportunity to perform, therefore, performance lengths are limited to the following times:
Solo Performers:     1 min
Group Performers:  1 min & 45 sec
5) Available Space --- All performances will be limited to the space available on the outside stage. An appropriate dance floor will be made available for the dress rehearsal and show. Thank you for being mindful of this limitation when choreographing routines.

6) One-Act Limit --- We anticipate many participants. For this reason, students may only audition for one act. A 6th grader, however, can be a MC as well as participate in an act. There is no guarantee your student will get the preferred act indicated on this form.

7) Best Behavior --- WCA’s high standards will be upheld at all times. All performers will be expected to be a good example to others during auditions, rehearsals and the show. We will have to excuse anyone who is disruptive from our show.
8) Auditions --- We will be holding closed auditions in the MPR after school. Parents will need to wait with their students in the lunch area until their audition time. All music, props, and/or costumes must be ready for these auditions. We will preview the acts at this time. Students will be asked to make changes to inappropriate content. If an act refuses to make the requested changes, they will not be allowed to participate in the show.
9) Rehearsals --- All participants must attend the rehearsals before the show. If a performer cannot attend scheduled rehearsals, please refrain from auditioning.
10) Music/Other Media --- Digital files must be emailed to or given to us on a USB Drive. Please make sure your name is clearly indicated.
