Red Ribbon Week at West Creek Academy 10/27-10/31

During Red Ribbon Week, the students will be participating in various activities such as putting red ribbons around the school, signing the pledge and wearing RED (make sure they wear red on Friday, 10/31). They will also take home bookmarks and bracelets. We hope this week-long event will help them to be more aware of the dangers of drug use and the importance of making healthier choices for themselves.

Statistics show that children of parents who talk to their teens regularly about drugs are 42% less likely to use drugs than those who don’t; yet, only a quarter of teens report having these conversations. This is a great opportunity for families to start such conversations!
